They say it is a decision to be happy or to be stressed.

It is your choice, whether you wake up with gratitude in the morning, or you choose to be in a bad mood and moan over everything. Decide to be happy TODAY. In this post, I collected the best morning rituals for you so that you can get some idea, what is the key for a happy and productive morning.

I think it is better to start your morning with good thoughts and with positive emotions. I know, it is not easy, especially when you didn’t get enough sleep, and when you had your sweetest dream. In those mornings, the last thing you want is to wake up and get out of your comfy bed.

For me, it is much harder during the winter, since it is dark, cold, and the bed is so warm and cozy. It is probably not only me, but I certainly need to make bigger efforts to wake up with a positive attitude on these gray mornings.

You need to find a purpose to wake up for.

You can make it simple by just having the purpose of being happy on that certain day. You can even start with small things, such as being happy for your eye-sight or your partner next to you, for your kids in the other room.

If you tend to wake up grumpy and find it hard to switch to a happier mood try to the following exercise for a week:

When your alarm goes off in the morning, (after the first shock when you don’t even know where you are) try to be grateful from the very first moment. The first and most important thing, FORGET your snooze button! It is not worth it to go back to sleep for another 10 or 15 minutes, believe me, you will not feel more rested, on the contrary, you will wake up feeling more tired.

If you need 30 minutes to wake up, then set your alarm for 45 minutes to get ready. This way, you don’t need to rush and get out of the bed immediately.

After opening your eyes, start sensing what is around you, what day it is, just let your body wake up. Before going anywhere or doing anything, just start to think about how good it is, that you got another chance to live on this Earth to wake up, to sleep next to your husband. Start to think about how grateful you are that you have ears, legs, arms, that your body tirelessly works, and keeps you alive.

You can keep going, as long as you want. The more things you are grateful for, the happier you become, and the warmer feeling will fill your heart.

The more you do this exercise, the more things will come to your mind you are happy and grateful for.  Believe me; you will get up with a different attitude, a good one.
